Confirel was present on 6, 7 and 8 November 2024 at CAMFOOD 2024, Cambodia's largest catering trade fair, held in Koh Pich, Phnom Penh.
This year, Confirel had a large stand to welcome visitors, as well as a second stand in the international organization UNIDO pavilion.
In addition to communicating on all our products, we focused on our innovation: KIRUM Prahok Powder, one of Confirel's latest products.
Various culinary influencers visited our stands to create photos and videos for the general public, and to demonstrate the benefits of reduced prahok in powder form: conservation, ease of use for both Asian and Western recipes, reduction in histamine and salt compared with the traditional version, reduction in its olfactory power, 5 flavors to suit all tastes.
Visitors were delighted to be able to taste variations of our Prahok Powder, including canapés of prahok ktiss, prahok cheese and prahok croquettes.
The chefs were just as keen to use it during the cooking competition organized over the 3 days.
Our Prahok Powder even won the competition thanks to Chef LANG Kimsieng, from Dara Airport City Hotel & Spa in Phnom Penh, and his recipe for turkey breast with Confirel KIRUM Prahok Powder.
‘In this competition, when I saw the prahok powder, I was very surprised because I had never seen it in over 10 years as a Chef. I think I will serve it in the right quantity for my dishes’, he said, adding that he is currently in charge of preparing Western and Khmer dishes at the Dara Airport Hotel.
After using the Prahok Powder that enabled him to win the competition, he added that he would be ‘promoting this product to the Hotel Director so that he can cook with it as much as possible, because it's easy to keep and use in the kitchen’.
CAMFOOD 2024 attracted more than 11,000 visitors this year. A great way to promote our KIRUM Prahok Powder, which will be exportable and patented soon, to satisfy the appetite of consumers all over the world.
